About the development
The proposed development aims to bring together two currently occupied buildings, utilising a unique design and implementing innovative modular and off-site construction techniques. This proposes to include a double storey rooftop extension, the formation of ‘bookends’ at either side of the existing buildings and a new central core. The core will connect the two buildings and feature a new lift, stairwell and communal entrance, as well as a new landscaped forecourt.
Planning permission was granted for the development on 13th November 2020, and we started on site in January 2021.
The development is located just minutes away from Bermondsey, South Bermondsey and Surrey Quays stations, allowing easy access to the Jubilee and London Overground Lines.
It will further benefit from a wide variety of local amenities in wider Bermondsey, littered with trendy cafes, pubs, restaurants and a wide variety of artisanal businesses. The hugely popular Maltby Street Market and Bermondsey Beer Mile is just 18 minutes’ walk away.
