About the development
The development creates 30 new affordable rent homes through an innovative design approach to two adjacent flat blocks. This includes a new two storey extension across both buildings, , the formation of new ‘bookends’ at either side of the existing buildings and a new central core. The core will connect the two buildings and feature a new lift, stairwell and communal entrance.
The construction of the new homes blends innovative modular homes built off site, and lightweight steel frame homes constructed at the ‘bookend’.forecourt.
Planning permission was granted for the development in November 2020, and we look forward to completion in Spring 2023.
The location
The development is located just minutes away from Bermondsey, South Bermondsey and Surrey Quays stations, allowing easy access to the Jubilee and London Overground Lin.
